Therapies Based On Energy
Biological therapies in CAM use substances found in nature, such as herbs, foods and vitamins. Some examples include the use of dietary supplements, the use of herbal products and other therapies using so-called “natural”, although not yet proven from scientific point of view (eg, the use of shark cartilage cancer treatment).
Some uses of dietary supplements have been incorporated into conventional medicine. For example, scientists have discovered that folic acid prevents certain birth defects and a regimen of vitamins and zinc can slow the progression of eye disease called macular degeneration associated with age.
[Edit] Methods of handling and body-based
The methods of manipulation (or manipulation manipulative therapy) and body-based complementary and alternative medicine emphasize the manipulation or movement of one or more body parts. Some examples include chiropractic, osteopathy and massage, but noted that many of the therapies that are included in these 3 terms are also common practice and fields of competence of a health profession, science, formal and conventional as well as physical therapy medicine manual or osteopathic (DO by physicians), so there clearly differentiate whether these therapies applied a physiotherapist / doctor or a layman, massage, chiropractor, compositeur or healer: in the first case we are talking about conventional medicine or scientific and the other alternative.

Main article: Energy Therapy
Therapies based on energy are one of the five types of complementary and alternative medicine according to NCCAM. As one of the areas of complementary medicine that causes more controversy, there are groups who feel that their effectiveness is due to the placebo effect. NCCAM divides biofield therapies when power is intervening own body and therapies bioelectromagnetic when using external equipment or an implement capable of producing energy, such as Tens or generating electrical impulses, magnetic or electromagnetic fields, among others. This second group of therapies is the most accepted by many conventional medical specialties, to be more supported by technological developments that require preliminary investigation. There are also certain definitions and classifications that are beyond the generic definition of NCCAM and try to generate new forms of classification, even though they could fall into any of the above categories. This is the case of therapies that work with cosmic energy, or orgone energy quanta.
Acupuncture therapy

The progress of science has promoted the development of Acupuncture through the discovery and development of low power laser He-Ne, giving a new vision Acupuncture therapy more effective in the treatment of common diseases.
The treatment by means of laser-acupuncture stimulation of acupuncture points either local or following the Theory of Meridians, achieves greater acceptance by the patient because of its easy application. This type of therapy combines the effects of low-power laser, which translate into improved quality of healing of damaged tissue and decreased pain and inflammation through cellular stimulation of the affected area with the already known effects of stimulation of acupuncture points located along meridians which release substances which block the pain, which in TCM is called the Flow Balance Energy or Qi.
Therapeutic applications Laser-acupuncture therapy
Its application is primarily a condition or injury of soft tissue pathologies of type link, Syndromes back and neck pain, Peripheral nerve entrapment, Pathologies Dermatological and Lung Disease.
The stimulation of microcirculation and tissue repair caused by laser energy applied directly to areas of injury with spot scanning techniques in addition to the application in specific acupuncture points directly affects longer-lasting results in time because analgesic affection adds a direct action on the cause of pain and limitation by stimulating the body itself to promote healing and regeneration of damaged tissue.
