Somatization Disorder | Prevention and Prognosis

Duration

Somatization disorder is a chronic (long) usually begins before age 25 or 30 years, but may begin in adolescence and can persist for several years.

Prevention

Although there is no way to prevent somatization disorder, proper diagnosis of it can help the person avoid excessive medical tests.
