Toxemia of pregnancy
Toxemia of pregnancy, more commonly known as preeclampsia is a problem of variable severity that occurs during pregnancy. Its appearance is usually normal during the second trimester of pregnancy, although in some cases can be detected in the first 20 weeks.
Do not know the specific causes of preeclampsia, but there are a number of groups of women at increased risk of suffering such as those with obesity, over 35 years, mothers, multiple pregnancies (twins or more) or history of diabetes and hypertension in the family. Read the rest of this entry »
