Treatment of puncture wound
The key to proper treatment is: a puncture wound must be cleaned appropriately and observed throughout the healing process to avoid complications.
In minor injuries
* Wash your hands
* Use running water for at least five minutes to rinse the puncture site and wash with soap
* Look for objects inside the wound, if found, do not remove it, go to the nearest emergency department. Also, if you can not see anything inside the wound, but missing a piece of the object that caused it, seek medical attention
* Apply an antibacterial ointment and a clean bandage
For more serious wound
* If there is bleeding, compress the affected area until it disappears
* Cover the hole with a clean dressing
* Move the affected as little as possible
* Should not be possible and threaten the health of the person, move to the nearest hospital
In all cases, the above characteristics should be applied tetanus
